GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE REGION

KUŞADASI
Kuşadası is, an extremely popular tourist destination and the port for cruise ship passengers heading to Ephesus, resort town on the Aegean coast of Turkey, near the ancient city of Ephesus, 90 km south of İzmir and a short distance across from the island of Samos.

EPHESUS
The city of Ephesus itself was founded as an Attic-Ionian colony in the 10th century BC, believed the city's mythological foundation to the Amazons.
The city was distinguished for the Temple of Artemis; one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the many-breasted "Lady of Ephesus", for Library of Celsus, and for its theatre, capable of holding 25,000 spectators. The city had one of the most advanced aqueduct systems in the ancient world.
Ephesus was an important center for early Christianity. Saint Paul used it as a B.S..
The house of the Virgin Mary, is believed to have been the last home of Mary, mother of Jesus and is a popular place of pilgrimage which was visited by Pope two times also.

Ephesus is believed to be the city of Seven Sleepers. The story of Seven Sleepers, which are considered saints by Christians and Muslims, tells that they were persecuted because of their belief in God and slept in a cave near Ephesus for centuries.

Note: Latest checkout time is 12:00 hr. for the congress accommodation package.
Participation at scientific sessions, admission to the commercial exhibitions, congress bag with documents, congress cocktail, lunches and all coffee breaks.
Those who cancelled the registration before August 1st, 2008 will receive 50% refund. Cancellations made after this date will receive no refunds.
