It is our pleasure to announce the 5^th EARSeL SIG IS workshop “IMAGING SPECTROSCOPY: Innovation in Environmental Research” that will be organised in Bruges (Belgium) from 23-25 April 2007.

This workshop, jointly organised by the European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories, VITO, Ghent University and the Belgian Science Policy Office, offers an international forum for specialists working on the innovative earth observation technology Imaging Spectroscopy.

Abstracts are welcome on the following topics:

·     Terrestrial ecosystems

·     Water and aquatic ecosystems

·     Geology

·     Atmosphere

·     Risk management

·     Resource management

·     Urban environment
